Gov Abbott Kicks Off Border Wall Construction

(Rio Grande City, TX)  —  Construction of a state-funded border wall is underway in South Texas. 

Governor Abbott traveled to Starr County to talk about the construction of the wall on Saturday.  He said the goal is to close the gaps left behind when border wall construction was halted by the Biden Administration earlier this year. 

Construction on the Starr County portion of the project began Friday and is expected to grow about 200 feet every day.
