(College Station, TX) — Texas A&M is pulling out of the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.
The Aggies announced today they’re dealing with coronavirus and season-ending injury issues meaning they can’t field a team. Athletics Director Ross Bjork says it’s heartbreaking they can’t be in the game but it’s important to keep student-athletes safe. A&M was supposed to play Wake Forest on December 31st in Florida.
A&M forfeits over $5 million by missing the bowl game.
