(Austin, TX) — A Fort Worth air base is on a list of military installations statewide that will receive grants from the Texas Military Preparedness Commission.
Gov. Greg Abbott announced on Tuesday a new round of more than 15-million-dollars in grants from the commission’s Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant program. The grants go to military communities across the state that may be affected by future Base Realignment and Closure rounds.
Nearly two-million-dollars will pay for a renovation of the military family advocacy resource center at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth.
