(Fort Worth, Tx) – The University of Texas at Arlington has decided that students will spend the first few weeks of the spring semester attending classes virtually instead of in person, due to the surge of COVID-19.

In person classes were expected to start today, instead that date moves to Feb 4th.  White Settlement and Northwest school districts have both called off school for today due to staffing shortages.  Mansfield ISD remains closed through today for deep cleaning of their campuses.

Wichita Falls ISD says due to a lack of testing kits, the COVID-19 testing site they set up at the Carrigan Center for students, will be closed until further notice.
