Woman Arrested For Trying To Buy Child In Walmart Checkout Line

(Crockett, TX) — A woman is out on bond after allegedly trying to purchase a child in a Walmart checkout line.

According to the mother, 49-year-old Rebecca Taylor made comments about the youngest of her two children before asking to buy him for $250,000. When she refused, the mother says Taylor became more aggressive and offered 500-thousand dollars while threatening to take the baby.

Police were called and Taylor was arrested. She’s charged with the sale or purchase of a child, which is a felony in Texas.
