(Austin, TX) — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will not release any record of his communications in the days leading up to the January Sixth riot at the U-S Capitol.
The A-G’s office announced Friday that Paxton will not comply with a warning from the Travis County District Attorney to turn over his communications or face a lawsuit.
D-A Jose Garza claims Paxton is violating the Texas Public Information Act by denying a request for his records from five of the state’s biggest newspapers. Paxton’s office says the accusations are “meritless.”
