(Bosque County, Tx) – The case of a missing Meridian man led to the discovery of more than a dozen vehicles at the bottom of Lake Whitney.

The Bosque County Sheriff’s Office says John Creech disappeared from his home 13 years ago.  According to a post on the Bosque County S.O.’s Facebook page, a tip led investigators to reopen the cold case and that Creech’s remains could be in Lake Whitney, which sits in both Bosque and Hill Counties.  The Sheriff says divers from the group Adventures With Purpose were called in to conduct a search in deep waters of down to 65 ft.

During a three-day search, divers found 13 sunken vehicles around the dam area, some more than 30 – 40 years old.  There’s no word on whether or not the divers found any information on the whereabouts of the missing man.
