Joe Exotic To Be Re-Sentenced In Murder-For-Hire Conviction

(Oklahoma City, OK) — “Tiger King” Joe Exotic will appear in court today.

The Netflix star whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage will appear in Oklahoma City federal court to be re-sentenced on two murder-for-hire convictions. Exotic was originally sentenced to 22 years in prison for hiring hitmen to kill his rival, animal rights activist Carole Baskin.

In July, the U.S. Court of Appeals determined that the trial court wrongly treated the two convictions separately, and that Exotic should get a shorter sentence. His re-sentencing is scheduled for 10 am Central time.
