TX Constitutional Amendment Election Set For May 7th

(Austin, TX) — Texans will head to the polls May 7th to vote on two constitutional amendments.

Governor Greg Abbott set the date for the special election yesterday. One constitutional amendment increases the homestead exemption for public school property taxes from $25,000 to $40,000.

The second involves property taxes for elderly homeowners.
