Tarrant County 9-1-1 System Temporarily Out On Tuesday

(Fort Worth, TX) — The Tarrant County 911 Operations Center is investigating an interruption to the county’s 9-1-1 service on Tuesday.

A spokesperson says a tech team was working on an upgrade when the whole system went down at about 3:30 p.m. and stayed off for about 40-minutes. The outage affected all 33 call centers across Tarrant County, including Fort Worth, Colleyville, Grapevine, Southlake, and Keller.

The spokesperson says there’s nothing suspicious about the problem, such as being hacked by somebody.
