(Fort Worth, TX) — The Granbury family of a former Marine stuck in a Russian prison got a phone call from the President while he was in Fort Worth Tuesday.
Biden was visiting a VA clinic, where Trevor Reed’s parents were camped out hoping to meet with him. The White House says Biden spoke with them by phone after the event and said he would do everything he could to bring their son home.
Reed was arrested by Russian police in 2019 on charges of assaulting an officer and sentenced to nine years in prison. His father says Reed’s physical condition has deteriorated in the Russian prison, and that he’s been exposed to tuberculosis.
Biden says he thinks of Reed every day.
