(Fort Worth, TX) —  A Fort Worth police officer is out of a job after an incident while on vacation last year in Arkansas.

The department announced Corporal Marshall Meyer was fired yesterday. The department didn’t release many details about what happened in Hot Springs but did say Meyer was involved in an incident “involving intoxication off-duty, leaving the scene of an accident, and discharging a firearm where prohibited.”

Meyer had been placed on restricted duty during the investigation. After the investigation was completed, the department said Meyer’s actions were found to be “not in keeping with the high standards expected with a Fort Worth police officer.”
