(Richmond, TX) —  A Texas judge is inviting Disney World to leave Florida and relocate to the Lone Star State.

In a letter to Walt Disney CEO Bob Chapek, Fort Bend County Judge KP George accused what he called extremists in Florida and its Republican Governor Ron DeSantis of authoritarian, anti-business and culture war attacks.  This after DeSantis and the Florida GOP dissolved a special self-governing district Disney used to manage its property in Florida.

The move was seen as retaliation for Disney’s objections to a law that bars teaching sexual orientation and gender identity before fourth grade.

George said Fort Bend, which is outside Houston, stands ready to welcome Disney family with “thousands of good paying jobs and billions of dollars of investments.”
