(Arlington, TX) — Police officers in Arlington are now allowed to display tattoos while in uniform, as long as they’re of approved designs.
The Arlington PD announced the policy change on Monday, in time for tattooed officers to wear short-sleeved uniforms in warmer weather. The department hopes the new policy will provide an opportunity for qualified people to be able to join the force.
Some other North Texas Police Departments require tattooed officers to cover their ink with long-sleeved shirts.
