(Austin, TX) — The Texas Department of Public Safety says the Uvalde County D-A is preventing the release of hallway video from the recent school shooting.
The Texas House special committee investigating the shooting at Robb Elementary wants the 77-minutes of video showing the police response to the shooting made available for public viewing. The DPS agrees but says D-A Christina Mitchell Busbee instructed them to keep the video confidential.
DPS officials told committee chairman Representative Dustin Burrows on Friday that Busbee will decide whether criminal prosecution will result, so she has the say in the matter.
