(Fort Worth, TX) — The Fort Worth ISD  is hoping for a special session of the Texas Legislature on guns.

FWISD trustees passed a resolution this week asking Governor Greg Abbott to call the House and Senate back into session.  The school board cited the May killing of 21 people inside Robb Elementary in Uvalde along with other recent shootings including the El Paso Walmart and Sutherland Springs Church.

They’re pushing for what they call common sense legislation to keep kids safe.
