Midlothian Teen Comes Up With Idea For New Blue Bell Flavor

(Midlothian, TX) — Blue Bell Ice Cream is releasing a new flavor suggested by a Midlothian teenager.

The Brenham creamery says it got the idea for strawberry lemonade sherbet from 13-year-old Madelyn Dodd. She got the inspiration from drinking a strawberry lemonade. A class project instructed each student to write a letter to any company they wanted, so Madelyn dropped Blue Bell a line.

The new flavor is strawberry ice cream swirled with lemonade sherbet, with lemon-flavored flakes.
