ERNEST announced he is taking a month-long hiatus to focus on his family, sharing the news on social media alongside a few photos, writing: “Getting out and playing for you guys every night has been a dream. But running non-stop I’m not gonna lie, it’s taken its toll on me. After getting back from London, it’s really hit me.
He continued: I’m going to be taking about a month off to reset and spend some time at home with my family. My son, Ryman is now at the age where every time I get home, he asks me if Im leaving… and I just can’t stand hearing him ask for daddy thru a phone call any more… I wanna spend quality time at home and pour into that reserve. I’m lucky to have a lot of incredible things coming up, and because of that I want to show up as my best self for my family and for you guys. We will be back on the road soon, and I can’t thank you all enough for the support – y’all be good.”
ERNEST’s wife, Delaney, was among the first to comment on his post, writing “Love you so much”. Fellow artists and fans also flooded the comments section with supportive messages towards the country singer. The short hiatus follows ERNEST’s recent run as support on Brooks & Dunn’s 2024 Reboot Tour and ahead of his fall headlining The Legalize Country Music Road Show, which kicks-off in Vancouver, Canada on September 4th and will make stops in Los Angeles, Anaheim, Fort Worth, Milwaukee, Knoxville, and more. ERNEST will also hit the stage on August 8 at the Voices of American Country Music Festival in Ohio, and has a slew of dates planned at fairs and festivals across the U.S.
ERNEST released his 26-track album NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE earlier this year, which included collaborations with Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, and Lukas Nelson and serves as a love letter to his hometown of Music City, USA.
