Wondering how soon you can carve your Halloween pumpkin and have it remain fresh until October 31st?  A new article in “Country Town and House Magazine” says Saturday October 26th is the exact date you should start carving your pumpkin.

Home decorator Joshua Houston says, “Surprisingly, pumpkins can last anywhere between eight to twelve weeks, this means that you can start planning your pumpking-picking trip now.  However, when it comes to carving the pumpkins you must wait until closer to the time.  This is because an open pumpkin will begin to rot and m ole will build up.  Aim to carve your pumpkin from October 26th onwards, this will ensure that it won’t be rotten come Halloween night.”
